Kilkenny Tradfest, taking place from March 15th to 18th, will feature traditional music legends and emerging talents, offering a vibrant showcase of the traditional music scene during the St. Patrick’s weekend.

Attendees are encouraged to book tickets for evening gigs and explore the Bulmers Music Trail during the day, showcasing the city’s diverse music offerings and traditions. Acts confirmed for the 11th Kilkenny Tradfest March 15-17:

  • Hothouse Flowers: Irish rock group blending traditional Irish music with soul, gospel, and rock, performing at the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel on March 15, kicking off the Tradfest with an electric live show.
  • Clare Sands & Band: Cork-based multi-instrumentalist with an eclectic and energetic trad-infused music style, performing at Cleeres Bar and Theatre on March 15, promising a journey of celebration, resilience, and hope.
  • John Spillane & The Band of Wrens: Folk legend known for captivating live performances, set to perform at Kyteler’s Inn on March 16, transporting audiences with his music rooted in people, place, and story.
  • Shaskeen with Katie Theasby: Traditional Irish band engaging audiences with jigs, reels, songs, and banter, joined by singer Katie Theasby at the Pembroke Hotel on March 16, offering a jam-packed and entertaining concert experience.
  • Iarla O Lionaird from Cuil Aodha and Kilkenny Tradfest newcomers – Burnchurch, a four piece group made up of two pairs of brothers.
