Showcase Ireland returns to RDS for 51st edition

Showcase Ireland is celebrating its 51st year as its signature craft design and creativity trade fair continues at RDS until tomorrow 20 January 2026.

The trade-only event drew thousands of industry professionals worldwide. Almost 400 exhibitors participated including 105 new brands. The theme Making Irish Stories highlighted narratives behind Irish craft and design shaped by heritage community and innovation. Enterprise Ireland hosted the International Buyers’ Hub with 114 overseas buyers from the US Canada UK France Poland Benelux Germany Japan Australia and Middle East.

Orders generated by buyers since 2015 grew at an average rate of 18% year-on-year. Analysis of Showcase 2025 estimated purchasing plans exceeded €32 million. The event supported Irish-owned businesses in fashion apparel health and beauty home gift and jewellery sectors. Forty Enterprise Ireland client companies exhibited including Magee 1866 Aran Woollen Mills Hanna Hats The Handmade Soap Company and Nicholas Mosse. A conference explored the new EU Craft and Industrial Geographical Indications scheme for product protection.

Mary Blanchfield CEO of Design & Crafts Council Ireland shared “Showcase is vital to support Irish designers and craftspeople to help in amplifying their craft both nationally and internationally. With Showcase we aim to deliver a meaningful commercial impact that will help set them up for success throughout the year.”
