The Silver Explorer has completed its final voyage for Silversea Cruises and is now set to be withdrawn from the company’s fleet.

The 23-day cruise sailed across the South Pacific, visiting destinations in French Polynesia, the Pitcairn Islands, and Chile, including Easter Island, Alexander Selkirk Island, and Robinson Crusoe Island.

After 15 years with Silversea, the purpose-built expedition ship was acquired by Exploris Expeditions & Cruises and renamed Exploris One.

Exploris One will offer expedition itineraries worldwide, targeting the French-speaking market, with sailings in South America, Antarctica, the Atlantic Islands, the Arctic, Northern Europe, and more.

The Silver Explorer, built in 1989, is equipped with a 1A ice-rated hull, allowing it to sail in polar and remote regions. It features luxury amenities such as Zodiac boats, kayaks, restaurants, bars, and public areas. Its inaugural sailing as Exploris One is scheduled for December 23, departing from Valparaiso and ending in Ushuaia, Argentina, with a cruise to Patagonia.
