Six cruise ships from Costa Cruises and MSC Cruises will gather in Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana for the traditional New Year’s Eve fireworks display, starting at midnight on Jan. 1, 2025.
Over 19,500 passengers and 7,500 crew members are expected, with the MSC Grandiosa being the largest ship in attendance.
The MSC Orchestra and MSC Poesia will also participate, with cruises from Argentina and Uruguay, visiting destinations like Ilhabela and Búzios.
Costa Cruises’ Costa Favolosa and Costa Deliziosa will also be present, with the latter part of a 130-night world cruise, docking at Rio’s Pier Mauá for a two-day visit.
