Six cruise ships remain stuck in the Arabian Gulf after operations halted in late February. The Strait of Hormuz stays virtually closed to international maritime traffic so the vessels cannot leave to start repositioning voyages. The ships include MSC Euribia in Dubai Celestyal Journey in Doha Celestyal Discovery in Dubai Mein Schiff 4 in Abu Dhabi Mein Schiff 5 in Doha and Aroya in Dubai.

The MSC Euribia docks in Dubai since 27 February 2026 and resumes service in Northern Europe on 2 May 2026 with seven night cruises to the Norwegian Fjords from Germany and Denmark. The Celestyal Journey allows passengers to disembark earlier this month and stays scheduled for repositioning to Greece ahead of 4 April 2026 itineraries. The Celestyal Discovery remains in Dubai after four Europe sailings cancelled and plans to welcome guests on 3 April 2026 in Lavrion.

The Mein Schiff 4 in Abu Dhabi cancels the first leg of repositioning but keeps the 20 night voyage from Cape Town on 11 April 2026 to Spain followed by Eastern Mediterranean summer. The Mein Schiff 5 in Doha cancels repositioning and plans to welcome guests in Palma de Mallorca on 17 April 2026. The Aroya in Dubai resumes on 14 May 2026 with Red Sea itineraries from Jeddah followed by Eastern Mediterranean summer.
