Slane Irish Whiskey and energy supplier Flogas Enterprise have signed a sustainable Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA).
The agreement allows Slane Irish Whiskey to purchase renewable electricity directly from the Cronalaght windfarm in Co Donegal, meeting 60pc of their energy demand (not farm from where Alex Conyngham’s ancestors came from)
This supports the distillery’s goal of procuring 100pc of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030, and aligns with their sustainability initiatives.
