SMBC seals lease agreement for five Boeing 737 MAX 8 with Arajet

SMBC Aviation Capital has announced a lease agreement for five Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with Arajet, set to deliver in 2026 and 2027.

The airline is based in Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic, and operates flights to 24 destinations across the Americas.

Arajet was founded in 2021 and began its operations in September 2022, boasting a current fleet of ten aircraft.

Conor Stafford, Head of Airline Marketing at SMBC Aviation Capital, shared, “We are happy to partner with Arajet on this deal and welcome them as a new customer.”
