Air France and KLM revealed a new status match offer in their Flying Blue loyalty programme targeting some British Airways Club members.

The initiative allows BA Bronze holders and above to match to equivalent Flying Blue tiers for 12 months, providing benefits across SkyTeam airlines, including Virgin Atlantic. Eligibility requires London issued passport holders and residents, with applications processed through statusmatch.com.

Matches include BA Bronze to Flying Blue Silver at SkyTeam Elite level, BA Silver to Flying Blue Gold at SkyTeam Elite Plus, and BA Gold or higher to Flying Blue Platinum, also at Elite Plus. For residents in regions such as China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan, matches to Platinum are restricted to Gold. Fees apply, with €92 for Silver, €174 for Gold, and €291 for Platinum, to attract committed travellers.

Benefits encompass priority check-in, boarding, and baggage for Silver, plus lounge access and enhanced miles for Gold and Platinum. Platinum offers complimentary seat selections and Avis President’s Club membership. The programme extends to residents of 21 other countries, including Bahrain, Canada, and India, with similar matching rules.
