Comair Flight Services has restructured its shareholding, with Parrot Aviation acquiring a 50pc stake previously held by Comair General Aviation Holdings. Co-founder and chief executive Justin Reeves has acquired the remaining shares from other minority holders, resulting in a rebrand to CFS Aviation Group.
The transaction has been approved by the South African Competition Commission and concludes a 12-year partnership with Comair. CFS Aviation Group will continue to operate independently from Federal Airlines despite sharing a common shareholder in Parrot Aviation.
CFS’s charter fleet includes multiple aircraft types such as Learjets, Citation, and Pilatus, alongside offering aircraft management services at its fixed-base operation in Johannesburg Lanseria.
Justin Reeves shared, “The new structure reinforces our long-term vision, strengthens our shareholder base, and preserves our operational independence.”
CFS Aviation Group shared, “CFS and FedAir will continue to operate as independent brands with separate leadership and operations. We retain our own air operator’s certificate (AOC), with Reeves remaining as group chief executive officer. In addition to charter services, CFS provides aircraft management and sales.”
