The three approved suppliers in the Irish market encouraging applications for summer 2026 J1 Work & Travel programme. Students gain jobs in destinations including Boston, Chicago, San Diego and New York.
Alternatives include Internship USA and Camp Exchange USA programmes. The oeprators in the Irish market are remind students that early applicants secure best jobs, housing and visa processing.
USIT and Sayit require a sponsor (approved by the DOS) to promote the J1 programmes. CIEE who were USITs sponsor since they started the programme over 50 yrs ago have decided to go direct online in the Irish market and reduce⁴ the number of J1 visa forms (DS 2019) available to USIT.
USIT are tied up with London based Bunac, both are part of Jenza Travel.
Sheelagh Daly of CIEE shared “It’s never too early to start planning. Students who apply in the coming weeks will have the widest choice of jobs and the smoothest visa process.”
