Thirty-five new cruise ships were ordered across cruise brands in 2024, including smaller expedition and luxury vessels, as well as large vessels for major players like Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian.

Major orders include the Carnival’s Excel and Royal Caribbean’s Oasis and Icon-class vessels, with planned deliveries stretching from 2026 to 2036, showcasing ongoing investment in the cruise sector.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings placed a significant order for eight new vessels across its brands, including Norwegian, Oceania, and Regent, signaling strong growth expectations within the luxury segment.

Other orders include Disney Cruise Line’s newbuilds and American Cruise Lines’ coastal and riverboat ships, indicating a diverse range of offerings in the evolving cruise market.
