Toronto opens largest park in a generation

Biidaasige Park has opened on Ookwemin Minising, creating Toronto’s largest park in a generation. The park features diverse recreational options including trails, cycling paths, and fishing areas along the Don River.

A $1.4 billion investment in flood protection has revitalised the waterfront, enhancing visitor experiences with colourful bridges. At full capacity, Ookwemin Minising is projected to accommodate over 15,000 residents and additional parkland.

Key attractions include picnic spots, an extensive playground, ziplines, and a recreation waterplay feature.
