Tourism Ireland, Limerick County Council, and Visit Derry attended the KLM Open golf tournament at The International golf club near Amsterdam to showcase Ireland’s golf offerings
The KLM Open is one of the oldest international open golf tournaments in Europe, attracting thousands of spectators each year and serving as a platform to promote Irish golf courses and events such as Irish Open at Royal County Down, The Open at Royal Portrush in 2025, and Adare Manor hosting the Ryder Cup in 2027.
Karen van der Horst, Tourism Ireland’s Manager for Northern Europe, said: “Our presence at this year’s KLM Open is just one element of Tourism Ireland’s busy programme of promotions to encourage golfers in the Netherlands and other key golf markets to consider a holiday on the island of Ireland. Golf is the world’s largest sports-related travel market and Tourism Ireland is working hard to drive home the message that the island of Ireland offers Dutch golfers the complete package – with some of the very best golf in the world, stunning scenery and the warmest of welcomes.”
