Transcend Cruises celebrated a construction milestone with the keel-laying ceremony for its first ship on February 4 at Den Breejen Shipyard in Orsova, Romania.

The event was attended by executives from Transcend Cruises, including CEO Hans Rood, and representatives from Den Breejen Shipyard and RensenDriessen, featuring remarks, hull viewing, and a traditional coin-laying ceremony.

A custom coin was presented to commemorate the ship’s construction, featuring the phrases “Group Travel. Redefined” and “Building the Future,” alongside Transcend’s symbol.

After the ceremony, the ship will move up the Danube to Den Breejen’s shipyard in the Netherlands for final outfitting and is expected to launch in the following year.
