EU Transport Commissioner Adina Vălean is among the confirmed speakers as 4,000 people will attend the Transport Research Arena 2024 event in Dublin between this morning and Thursday, focused on the future of transport.

The event claims to be Europe’s largest transport and mobility research conference taking place at the RDS with a boost of €7m to the Irish economy.

The theme is ‘Transport Transitions: Advancing Sustainable and Inclusive Mobility,’ gathering leading researchers and industry figures to discuss mobility advancements.

The programme includes demonstrations of technology, scientific presentations, and discussions, with former President of Ireland Mary Robinson as the keynote speaker at the closing ceremony. Programme sessions:
