Travel Counsellors, which now has 80 counsellors in Ireland, has acquired travel tech platform Planisto along with its development team, marking its second ever acquisition.
The acquisition comes after a successful deal with Holidaysplease in March 2023, and a record trading year with annual bookings reaching €1082m.
Planisto, a cloud-native tech platform, enables travel advisors to create and manage complex personalised itineraries. The software will be integrated into Travel Counsellors’ digital platform Phenix, accelerating its tech development roadmap.
The deal also includes the integration of Planisto’s developers into Travel Counsellors, underlining Travel Counsellors’ focus on the premium travel market and its investment in technology.
