Travelodge has introduced its new 85 Bar Cafe concept as part of its brand revamp, upgrading 18 existing Bar Cafes with distinct zones for dining, socialising, and working.
The new concept pays homage to the opening of Travelodge’s first English hotel in 1985, showcasing retro 1980s neon signage, floor-to-ceiling bookcase divisions, and poster art inspired by music and films from that era.
London locations with the 85 Bar Cafe include hotels in Covent Garden, Euston, Finchley, Finsbury Park, Kings Cross Royal Scot, and Waterloo, with additional properties in Bath, Birmingham Airport, Blackpool, Brighton, Cambridge, Canterbury, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Guildford, Manchester, and Poole.
The 85 Bar Cafe concept rollout will extend to more selected Bar Cafes and new Travelodge properties, following the chain’s revamp in 2022 which included redesigned rooms and a new reception style.
