TUI Group shareholders have approved a plan to delist from the London Stock Exchange and focus on the Frankfurt bourse by June 2024.

The German leisure group will begin trading on the Frankfurt Prime Standard from April and expects to be admitted to the MDAX index on June 24, 2024.

The delisting from London will simplify structures, centralize liquidity, and support EU requirements for ownership and control of TUI Group’s airlines.

Around 77pc of TUI Group share transactions are already handled through the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, and the majority ownership by EU citizens is expected to increase as trading shifts exclusively to Frankfurt.
