Tullamore Tradfest preparations ongoing for late March

Tullamore Tradfest is set for 27 to 29 March 2026 in Offaly. This 8th edition features over 50 events, including 39 sessions and 18 live stage performances across 14 venues in Tullamore. 

  • Friday, 27 March (8:00 PM): Opening concert at the Bridge House Hotel (€20) featuring Tara Breen, Jim Murray, and Pádraig Rynne. The evening includes the induction of the Kinsella Family into the Offaly Hall of Fame.
  • Saturday, 28 March (5:00 PM): Performance by CUAS (West Kerry collective) and the Ryan Family (€10 / €20 family).
  • Saturday, 28 March (10:00 PM): Late-night session with Peter Street and guests (€15).
  • Sunday, 29 March (3:00 PM): A Céilí featuring The Glenside Céilí Band (€12).

Events include live traditional Irish music across multiple local pubs and hotels, including the Tullamore Court Hotel, 13 workshops with leading musicians, including “Try an Instrument” sessions and a Group Ensemble Workshop led by Rebecca McCarthy-Kent and 150 hours of free entertainment, including gig-rigs at the Bridge Centre and O’Connor Square.

Inclusive Programme: Specialized events at the Tullamore Library and Bridge House Hotel, such as an Inclusive Songwriting Workshop (Sat, 11:30 AM) and an Inclusive Trad Session (Sat, 3:00 PM). Registration is required via the official website.
