Turkish Airlines has placed an order for four Boeing B777-Fs to expand its cargo fleet and improve operational capabilities, increasing its in-house freighter fleet to 22 aircraft.
The current cargo fleet of Turkish Airlines consists of ten A330-200Fs and eight B777-200Fs, with additional wet-leased aircraft from ULS Airlines Cargo, CMA CGM Air Cargo, and AirACT.
Boeing has a total of fifty-six B777-Fs on order, with various customers including FedEx Express, China Southern Airlines, Emirates, and Lufthansa Cargo among others.
Turkish Airlines aims to harmonize its dedicated freighter fleet around the B777-200F type, with plans to double its cargo capacity by 2033 through new aircraft orders and potential P2F conversions.
