
Turkish Airlines reported a 7.7pc passenger capacity increase for Q2, carrying 22.1m customers despite industry challenges such as geopolitical tensions and aircraft engine issues.
The airline carried 38pc more customers in Q2 compared to 2019, exceeding pre-pandemic levels.
Revenue for Turkish Airlines rose 10pc year-on-year to US$5.7 billion, driven by more passengers from the Far East and strong cargo operations.
The airline expanded its fleet by 9pc in the first half of the year and aims to have 800 aircraft by 2033, despite bottlenecks in the supply chaiin.
