Norwegian Cruise Line has introduced a $10 per person fee for no-show specialty dining reservations across its fleet, effective immediately.
Reservations are held for 15 minutes before cancellation, with the fee applying if not cancelled or updated at least two hours prior. The policy is communicated via the Freestyle Daily onboard.
Royal Caribbean International also implemented no-show fees this month, charging $25 per person for cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows, excluding Dining Package holders and Star Class suite guests. Higher fees of $50 apply to certain venues like Empire Supper Club, Lincoln Supper Club, Omakase, Royal Railway, Chef’s Table, and Izumi Hibachi.
Norwegian Cruise Line shared: “In order to allow more guests the opportunity to dine in specialty restaurants, a $10 per person fee will be charged if a scheduled reservation is not cancelled or updated at least two hours prior to the scheduled time.”
Royal Caribbean International shared: “Our goal is to preserve these limited seats for clients eager to experience our exclusive, limited-capacity dining options.”
