United Airlines has been rolling out Chef’s Table-designed meals in its Polaris business class cabins. The programme begins on 1 August 2026 on select long-haul routes that serve lunch or dinner. Passengers can pre-order meals through the airline website and app from five days before departure until 24 hours prior to takeoff.
The menus feature 11 chefs from four continents with each meal linked to a departure city. The initial lineup runs through September 2026 with new seasonal options from October. United pairs the food service with in-flight entertainment content that shows menu development and adds episodes of Chef’s Table Talks to seatback screens from 1 July.
The initiative forms part of broader upgrades to the Polaris product that include new suites and improved connectivity. It addresses past inconsistencies in catering on long-haul flights. The partnership focuses on dishes engineered for service at altitude while reflecting culinary cultures of departure cities.
Aaron McMillan shared “At its core, this collaboration with Chef’s Table is rooted in a shared ambition to redefine what inflight dining can be.”
Justin Connor shared “The chefs have crafted menus specifically engineered for 35,000 feet, ensuring ingredients and flavors remain exceptional despite the altitude.”
