United Airlines has implemented Bluetooth connectivity on its planes as part of the United Next initiative to modernize and expand its fleet.
The airline currently has over 100 aircraft equipped with Bluetooth and plans to have it on around 800 aircraft by 2032.
The Bluetooth connectivity allows passengers and flight crews to connect and communicate more easily, and it works seamlessly with the new features of AirPods Pro.
Passengers can now benefit from AirPods Pro features such as Conversation Awareness, which lowers volume when speaking to a flight attendant, and Adaptive Audio, which dynamically adjusts between Transparency mode and Active Noise Cancellation.
United Airlines has a history of integrating Apple products into its operation, and it has distributed over 120,000 Apple devices, including iPhones and iPads, to its employees.
