
The United States has restored zero-for-zero tariffs on imports of aircraft and parts from South Korea and Switzerland on 19 November 2025.
The agreement aligned with a 1979 trade deal on civil aircraft though implementation dates remained unannounced.
President Donald Trump agreed to remove tariffs during a state visit to South Korea on 13 November following Korean Air’s order for 103 Boeing aircraft valued at €31.2bn.
The Trump administration announced a framework trade deal with Switzerland and Liechtenstein on 14 November that reduced the US import tariff rate to 15pc from 39pc.
The deal required €173.4bn in investments by Swiss companies in the United States.
