
Viking has announced its new vessel, Viking Astrea, scheduled for delivery in June 2027, marking it as the third newbuild to join the fleet within a year.
Currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, the Viking Astrea will kick off its inaugural cruise from Venice, visiting destinations in Italy and Croatia.
Two cruises in early September 2027 will feature Cork, Derry, Greenock and Belfast,. Highlights of the ship’s itinerary include a seven-night journey with stops in Šibenik, Bari, Crotone, Messina and Naples before a repositioning cruise to Northern Europe.
The upcoming voyages feature stops in cities like Cartagena, Málaga, Porto, Le Havre, Falmouth, Portsmouth, Amsterdam, and Zeebrugge, showcasing a diverse range of destinations.
Following Viking Astrea, the company welcomes Viking Mira and Viking Libra in 2026 and plans to receive additional new vessels from the shipbuilder through 2030.
