Viking has floated out of its latest ship on the Nile River fleet, the Viking Hathor, set to debut in August 2024 with a capacity for 82 guests in 41 staterooms

The float out took place at the Massara shipyard in Cairo, signalling the vessel’s move into the final construction phase before interior completion

The Viking Hathor will offer the 12-day Pharaohs & Pyramids itinerary, catering to travelers interested in exploring Egypt’s cultural treasures and ancient antiquities

Viking aims to expand its Nile River fleet, with plans for six ships navigating the Nile by 2025, including the upcoming Viking Sobek, in addition to the existing Viking Ra and MS Antares.
