Viking Mira launches at Fincantieri shipyard in Ancona

The Viking Mira has been launched at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Ancona, Italy, transitioning to the outfitting phase.

The ship has a gross tonnage of 54,300 and accommodates up to 998 guests across 499 staterooms. Fincantieri has a long-standing partnership with Viking, which has resulted in a total of 28 ships, including those delivered and on order.

Since 2009, Fincantieri’s Ancona facility has produced 20 vessels, supported by a workforce of 3,700. The shipyard is focused on innovation through the Operations Excellence program, employing advanced technologies, robotics, and AI to enhance efficiency.

Gilberto Tobaldi shared, The Viking Mira marks an exciting new chapter in our relationship with Viking.”
