
Viking has taken delivery its latest ocean ship, the Viking Vesta, during a delivery ceremony at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Ancona, Italy.
The Viking Vesta features 499 staterooms with capacity for 998 guests and will operate in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe this inaugural season.
Torstein Hagen expressed pride in adding the Viking Vesta to the fleet and looks forward to welcoming guests during its inaugural season.
Fincantieri is also constructing the Viking Libra, the first hydrogen-powered cruise ship, scheduled for delivery in late 2026.
Viking aims to increase its fleet with 27 additional river ships by 2028 and 10 ocean ships by 2031.
