Viking has announced that its second newbuild for 2026 will be named the Viking Libra, which will accommodate 998 guests and enter service in December 2026 following the Viking Mira.

Currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, the Libra’s maiden voyage will begin in Piraeus, Greece, on December 3, 2026, featuring a ten-night cruise to the Greek Islands and Turkey.

After its inaugural season in the Mediterranean, the Libra will reposition to Northern Europe, offering itineraries including the Viking Homelands cruise connecting Bergen and Stockholm, with stops in multiple countries.

In addition to the Libra, Viking will welcome the Viking Mira in 2026, with the Viking Vesta also set for its maiden season in early July 2025.
