Virgin Voyages announced has cancelled The Resilient Lady’s 2024-25 voyage season plans in Australian waters due to security concerns in the Red Sea, affecting late 2024 and early 2025 repositioning voyages and a second sailing season in Australia.
The ship will conclude its Mediterranean season on October 20, 2024, then sail to San Juan, Puerto Rico, offering new Caribbean voyages to destinations like St. Maarten, St. Vincent, Colombia, and Dominica.
The company expressed disappointment over the situation and is exploring options to return to Australia and the Asia Pacific region once feasible repositioning opportunities arise, with plans to prioritize existing booked Sailors for future sailings.
Impacted Sailors have the choice to rebook another voyage or receive a full refund following the change in plans.
