The World Aviation Festival has revealed five finalists for its 2025 Start-up Pitch Competition, to be held on 7 October at FIL Lisbon, showcasing early-stage aviation innovators.
Finalists include Arcube (sustainable infrastructure), Ganiga.ai (AI-optimised operations), Acai Travel (personalised trip planning), Modifly (dynamic ticketing), and FlightMinds (data-driven decarbonisation).
The competition, part of the Start-up Village, allows startups to pitch to over 4,500 senior executives and investors from airlines, airports, and travel technology.
The judging panel features industry leaders from Amadeus, Iberia, IBM, and AWS, evaluating solutions for their potential to transform aviation.
Last year’s finalists addressed accessibility, blockchain, and AI-driven pricing, with 2025 focusing on sustainability and passenger experience.
Daniel Boyle shared: “Innovation drives everything we do at the Festival, and the Start-up Village is where the industry’s future takes shape. This year’s finalists are tackling some of aviation’s most pressing challenges, from sustainability to passenger experience, and we’re excited to see them pitch live in Lisbon.”
