As many as 50 Ryanair aircraft were temporarily grounded due to GPS problems affecting multiple airlines worldwide.
Thousands of travellers were delayed, reaching a peak on May 21 across various flights from Irish bases such as Dublin, Cork, Shannon, Kerry and Knock.
Newer aircraft, including the Boeing 737 Max and Airbus 320s, experienced particular difficulties during the GPS disruption.
Sources confirmed that at no point were passengers in danger throughout the incident.
A Ryanair spokesperson shared that the issue was not unique to Ryanair and was unrelated to GPS interference.
