Donegal County Council receives calls to assess Rathmullan Pier as a potential dock for cruise ships.
Councillor Pauric McGarvey proposes the initiative to boost tourism and the local economy in the area. The suggestion follows discussions on efforts to attract cruise vessels to the pier.
Cruise ship calls to Killybegs this year include Azamara Quest, Douglas Mawsom, Fred Olsen Balmoral and Borealis, Nieuw Statendam, Oceania Vista, Seaborn Ovation, Spirit of Adventure, Spirit of Discovery and Vasco da Gama-Nicko.
