Visitors to Malta in June can look forward to a month of outdoor activities and local events that mark the arrival of warmer weather. The island offers sunny days suited to coastal walks and historic sites, with festivals providing chances to join in music, arts and traditional observances. Public transport connects main areas well, and entry to many attractions costs between five and 15 euros.

Early in the month, events such as DLT Malta and Earth Garden bring music performances to venues around St Paul’s Bay and open-air spaces from around four to seven June. These gatherings feature electronic sounds and eco-friendly programmes that allow attendees to spend time in relaxed settings with fellow visitors.

Mid-June sees the Malta International Arts Festival run from 12 to 21 June across Valletta and nearby spots, with theatre, dance and music shows in historic locations. This period also includes Abode on the Rock in Gozo from 18 to 22 June, adding further performances to the calendar.

Towards the end of the month, on 29 June, L-Imnarja takes place with folk music, horse races and community activities centred on Buskett Gardens and other areas. This feast honours Saints Peter and Paul and gives a taste of longstanding Maltese customs through food and evening programmes. Sette Giugno on seven June marks a public holiday with ceremonies that recall the island’s history.

Throughout June, village feasts appear in different towns, offering street processions, band performances and local foods at modest prices. Beaches and waterfronts stay busy into the evenings, while markets sell fresh goods and handicrafts. Accommodation and meals remain available at standard rates, and the longer daylight hours support extended time outside. The mix of these events lets travellers experience both planned programmes and the regular flow of island life.
