Air Canada has expanded its winter network with new routes across Europe, Latin America, and Japan to strengthen year-round connectivity from its main hubs. The airline adds Quito in Ecuador with three weekly flights from Montréal and one from Toronto using Boeing 787-8 aircraft, alongside increased frequencies to Rio de Janeiro, Lima, Santiago, and Bogota. Year-round service begins to Manchester and Copenhagen from Toronto using the Airbus A321XLR, joining other European additions such as Berlin and Nantes from Montréal.
From Calgary, nonstop leisure flights launch to Cancun four times weekly and Puerto Vallarta three times weekly with Boeing 737 MAX aircraft operated by Air Canada Rouge. The flagship addition is the first nonstop service from North America to Sapporo in Japan, operating three times weekly from Vancouver through March 2027 on Boeing 787 Dreamliners, cutting travel time by over two hours compared with connections. These moves leverage new aircraft capabilities to reduce seasonality and support premium demand.
Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, shared “further cement our hubs as premier global gateways.”
