The Indian market is witnessing significant increase in business travel and the potential development of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) facilities.
Speaking at the IATA Congress in Delhi, Pieter Elbers remarked on the diverse and ambitious talent pool in India, presenting substantial opportunities for the aviation sector.
Eibers noted that the progress being made in India is vital for establishing the infrastructure needed for a cohesive aviation system.
He compared India’s aspirations with those of Singapore, where continuous improvements in aviation infrastructure are evident.
The aviation industry is influenced by the principle that business tends to gravitate towards locations that offer the best conditions for operations.
Peter Elbers shared: “The situation is different for different parts of the world. We’re having an incredible pool of talent… in terms of ambition. I think the opportunity out there is huge. Cohesive system for MRO facilities for producing stuff here in India itself rather than importing it. Traffic and business would move to places where it’s best to do business.“
