Berlin-based a&o is set to open its first tourist hostel in the Irish market, following plans by Marlet Group to convert an office development in Dublin’s docklands.
The tourist hostel will have 496 beds and will be operated by the a&o chain.
The proposal aims to increase activity in the area both during the day and at night compared to an office building.
The firm currently has 38 hotels in 25 cities across Europe.
