The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) January closure orders to food establishments include Bewley’s Café on Grafton Street.

The inspections revealed issues such as live cockroaches and rodent droppings at Ella’s Heaven Café in Dublin, prompting its closure due to an active pest infestation and cleanliness concerns.

Other restaurants affected by closure orders include Balam Limited in Dublin, The Turk Grill in Co Sligo, and Indian Tiffins on Parnell Street, which faced orders to cease operations due to health and safety breaches.

The FSAI Chief Executive Dr. Pamela Byrne shared: “food businesses have a fundamental legal responsibility to ensure the food they produce is safe to eat“.
