Birr Castle Demesne has launched a new discovery train that operates every weekend to enhance visits to the historic estate.
The train provides a 20-minute journey across the 120-acre grounds passing key features such as the Great Telescope and the castle exterior along with diverse plant collections from different countries. Visitors gain access to photo opportunities during the ride before exploring further attractions on the property.
The service runs at scheduled times with tickets priced at €5 per person as an additional option to standard entry fees. Pre-booking remains necessary to guarantee places on the train.
