Ten Canadian travel agents who work with TourRadar have explored Ireland this week as guests of Tourism Ireland, Fáilte Ireland and Tourism NI. The group has visited sites across Ireland to familiarise themselves with the tourism offering. The itinerary has included stops in Belfast, Derry, Leitrim, Longford, Kilkenny, Kildare and Dublin.
The agents have toured Titanic Belfast, taken a black taxi tour and participated in a historic pub tour in Belfast. They visited GORTA in Swatragh, walked the city walls in Derry, took a boat tour on Lough Erne, stopped at The Shed Distillery in Leitrim, Cloughan Farm in Longford, the Irish National Stud in Kildare and Kilmainham Gaol in Dublin.
Canada represents the fifth-largest source of overseas tourism revenue to the island of Ireland. The visit has aimed to equip the agents with detailed knowledge when advising clients on holidays in Ireland.
Sandra Moffatt shared “TourRadar is a valued partner for Tourism Ireland and we were delighted to invite their top-performing travel agents to visit Ireland this week.”
