Carnival Cruise Line has revealed details of Starfish Lagoon, the fourth portal at its new destination, Celebration Key, in Grand Bahama, focusing on family-friendly activities.
Starfish Lagoon will include water slides named Flash Flamingo and Mach III Marlin, a coral-reef-themed Guppy Grotto children’s play area, a Game Pavilion with table games, a Sports Court offering volleyball, basketball, and pickleball courts, and 12 floating AquaBanas for rental.
For adults, there will be a Swim Up Bar offering a variety of beverages, including specialty frozen rum cocktails. Guests can also enjoy numerous dining options, including restaurants, snack bars, bar shacks, and Bahamian food trucks.
Starfish Lagoon joins existing portals such as Paradise Plaza, Calypso Lagoon, and Lokono Cove, making up four of the five planned portals, with details of the fifth portal to be revealed in the future. Features include:
- Pink Flash Flamingo and blue Mach III Marlin water slides.
- Guppy Grotto, a coral-reef-themed children’s water play area, featuring a wading pool, water toys, interactive features and shaded seating for parents with a nearby ice cream shop;
- Game Pavilion features a variety of table games such as foosball, ping pong and cornhole, along with seating areas;
- Sports Court includes volleyball, basketball and pickleball courts adjacent to the Game Pavilion.
- Twelve Floating AquaBanas available for rental
- Swim Up Bar for the adults, offering beverages such as the bar’s specialty frozen rum cocktails;
- Dining venues provide many options for guests including restaurants, snack and bar shacks, along with Bahamian food trucks.
