The Club Hotel at Goffs in Kill, Co Kildare, is transitioning to the global IHG franchise this week, allowing access toms of potential customers worldwide. The hotel, opened by Ray Byrne and Eoin Doyle two years ago, will take on IHG’s Voco brand and change its name to Voco The Club Dublin Gateway in August.

IHG’s distribution network enables better management of online distribution for independent hotels like the Club. Joanna Kurowska, managing director of IHG Hotels and Resorts London, noted the advantages of larger networks in adapting to changes in technology and the market.

IHG is exploring additional hotel opportunities in Ireland, focusing on locations such as Cork and Limerick. In Belfast, IHG has the Voco, three Holiday Inn Express hotels and the Crowne Plaza.

Joanna Kurowska shared: “so you give your inventory to us and we do the distribution for you.”
