Condor has initiated legal action in the European General Court to contest a European Commission decision allowing Lufthansa Group to acquire a 41pc stake in ITA Airways.
The German leisure carrier claims that the remedies package mandated by the Commission does not adequately protect competition within the airline industry.
A Condor spokesperson shared that the remedies imposed are insufficient to prevent harm to competition resulting from this transaction.
Luxair also filed a lawsuit aiming to annul the approval of the Lufthansa-ITA Airways deal, which was finalised in January 2025.
Despite holding 59pc ownership in ITA Airways, Italy’s Ministry of Economy and Finance allows the Lufthansa parent company the potential to increase its stake to 100pc in the future.
