Dublin Airport has opened Ryan’s Pub in Terminal 2 as a new traditional Irish venue for departing passengers.

The pub, created by The Wright Group and located airside past duty free, offers pints, premium Irish whiskey, and pub favourites from 4am daily. It draws inspiration from a 1970 photograph of Mary Ryan hanging washing near an Aer Lingus jumbo jet, honouring the Ryan family’s long connection to the airport through generations of employment. Passengers enjoy breakfast blaas, Ploughman’s lunches, and M.J. Wright smoked salmon near departure gates. The addition expands Dublin Airport’s food and beverage options with authentic Irish hospitality.

Ronan Fitzsimons confirmed the pub responds to passenger demand for a traditional Irish pub in Terminal 2. Michael Wright noted the creation of jobs in the Fingal area. The venue blends classic local charm with the airport’s international gateway atmosphere. Upcoming openings include The Clipper Bar & Kitchen in Terminal 1 Arrivals for all-day breakfast and bar menus. The Clipper draws from the historic aircraft on transatlantic flights from Foynes, Co Limerick.

The name pays tribute to community history at Dublin Airport.

Ronan Fitzsimons shared “We were hearing loud and clear from passengers that they wanted a traditional Irish pub in Terminal 2 and Ryan’s Pub is a fantastic addition to our food and drink offering. Whether passengers are travelling early or late, Ryan’s offers a warm Irish welcome and a great sense of place as they spend their final minutes in Ireland before heading off.”
