Killybegs Harbour in County Donegal has secured more than €2.1m in funding for essential upgrades. Works are scheduled to commence around June 2026 and will enhance safety maintenance and operational capacity for the fishing fleet while supporting local employment.
The investment is expected to deliver positive knock on effects for tourism by improving facilities for visitors to Ireland’s premier fishing port known for its seafood heritage scenic coastal walks and charter boat experiences attracting day trippers and holidaymakers to the northwest.
