EasyJet shares fall by 7.3pc on news Kenton Jarvis to replace Johann Lundgren

Shares in English budget airline EasyJet fell by 7.3pc on the news that CEO Johan Lundgren is set to step down in early 2025, with CFO Kenton Jarvis named as successor.

The company reported a headline pretax loss of £350m, slightly exceeding the estimated £340m loss according to LSEG data.

EasyJet mentioned that bookings are on track with expectations, and the outlook for the financial year 2024 remains positive, although shares have fallen about 4pc year to date.

Ryanair has overtaken Easyjet as the largest airline in England, its home market.
