Emirates new A380 high-density reconfiguration to introduce 56 premium economy seats

Emirates is to reconfigure its 15 high-density two-class A380-800 aircraft into a three-class layout. The changes reduce total seat count by 8pc from 615 to 569.

The airline is installing 56 premium economy seats and increases business class from 58 to 76 seats. Economy class on the lower deck decreases by 120 seats from 557 to 437.

Subject to airspace closures Emirates aims to induct the first reconfigured aircraft on the Dubai International to Amman Queen Alia route on 14 April 2026 with all retrofits complete by November 2026.
