Etihad Airways has introduced a special livery on one of its recently acquired A321neos to celebrate the airline’s 20th anniversary.
The livery on the aircraft features line-style art showcasing iconic landmarks in Abu Dhabi and symbolizing unity, with plans for this A321neo to be deployed on various routes including services to India and the Middle East.
Etihad, which initially launched in November 2003, is commemorating its two decades of operation this year and the CEO, Antonoaldo Neves, emphasized the significance of the livery in reflecting the airline’s Emirati identity and its commitment to delivering exceptional service.
The airline’s chief operations and guest officer, John Wright, highlighted the quick introduction of the A321 fleet and its importance in supporting Etihad’s growth plans amidst global aircraft delivery challenges, with over 20 new aircraft expected in 2025. Wright also praised the speed and flexibility of Etihad teams and partners in ensuring the safe and compliant commissioning of these new aircraft within seven months.
