
Passengers will be allowed keep liquids in their suitcases when going through new C3 scanners form July.
Daa CEO Kenny Jacobs has said the new EU ruling allowing liquids to remain in bags during security checks is immiinent.
He cautioned that this is the fourth date that has been given for an end to the checks, subject to agreement by EU and US authorities. It will mean liquids of all sizes can be kept in the bag as passengers pass through the new C3 scanners.
Shannon, Belfast City, Belfast International, Kerry and Donegal airports have introduced the new scanners. All of T2 in Dublin has the new scanners and al of T1 will have them in October. Cork will introduce them for next summer and Belfast for 2027.
